Collgar Community Fund News: Recipients Announced for Quarter 1, 2025

The Collgar Community Fund Committee met in March to discuss level 2 grant applications that were received during Q1. Two level 2 applications were received during this time and fall within the categories of arts & culture and sports & recreation.

We are very happy to announce the Level 2 funding recipients for Q1 as follows.

Wylie Arts Expo

The Wylie Arts Expo is an annual event held in Wyalkatchem, run by the Wyalkatchem Community Resource Centre (WCRC). The WCRC actively promotes arts within the community, and this expo has become one of the main events in the region. The event is being held for the fifth year running with over 200 people attending last year, and numbers are growing year on year. The event attracts visitors from across the Wheatbelt as well as extending to other regional centres.

The Collgar Community Fund is pleased to support this initiative for the third consecutive year. The CCF grant will contribute to covering the cost of catering, tutorials held during the event, judging costs and other administrative charges.

Kellerberrin Tammin Football Club

The Kellerberrin Tammin Football Club (KATS) is a local football club with teams that compete across the wheatbelt region. KATS home games are played at the local ground, with senior (reserve and league team) and junior teams, as well as a netball league that also use the club room facilities. Sport in the community is strong and well represented, fostering strong community pride.

The Collgar Community Fund is pleased to provide a grant to the Kellerberrin Tammin Football Club as a contribution towards an upgrade of their existing scoreboard to an electronic version. This new scoreboard will enable real-time updates, increased visibility and an improved atmosphere at the game.

Congratulations to the successful grant recipients. The Collgar Community Fund is pleased to support these worthwhile projects that will have a positive impact on the community.
